Our half-day trip is intended for a person with little time who would love to sample some of the Southern Appalachian's finest Trout fishing. This is the best opportunity for a truly memorable trip. Many miles of river can be covered in a day increasing your chances to catch many quality trout and a real trophy fish. Float trips on the French Broad, Holsten, Watauga and Tuckaseegee Rivers are designed for more experienced anglers. July and August are excellent months to try your hand at fly fishing for lively smallmouth bass as well as for trout. Fly Fishing Lessons and Instruction Let us help you get off on the right foot with fly fishing. You will learn the basics of casting, knots, gear selection, fly selection, reading water, insects, correct catch and release methods and fishing ethics to name just a few. Class is held outdoors - stream side.
